Help MTV launch a new campaign at 2012 SXSWi.
We all know about inspiring events like: TED Talks, and PopTech.  Don’t get me wrong, we heart these events… hard!  However, MTV wants to inspire change, on the spot, with a 60-minute interactive session, where instead of just absorbing thought-provoking ideas, people are given the chance to prove it, by putting those ideas into action.

So, to make this idea a reality. MTV needs your help to get it in front of the, and I quote: “Bigwigs to show them it’s not what we say, it’s what we do that counts”.

TEDx Youth Day 2011

Good ideas can spread like wildfire.. and inspiring, progressive ones need a stage in which to perform. Just imagine if you had a free ticket to this “world-changing” event? Well, that’s where TED comes into play…

“TED is a non-profit organization devoted to ideas worth spreading…”

Starting as a 4-day conference in California twenty-five years ago TED’s stage now reaches a global audience where individuals are empowered to organize local independent “TEDx” talks, engaging and inspiring audiences around the world for free!

What’s even better is TEDx events have now spread into the youth sector, focusing on the impact of youth voices, thoughts, and ideas.

TEDxYouthDay is a series of TEDx events happening all around the world on November 20, Universal Children’s Day. These events are designed to empower and inspire young people.”

On this day, educators, organizations and of course kids, will engage in talks, storytelling and events that will be focused towards the theme of Play, Learn, Build, & Share. The kids will not only be participating in events, but some of the events will even be hosted by the youth themselves. Although all events will be uniquely individual based on the organizers agenda, the common vision to inspire young leaders will remain the same.

This is an exciting time to see what our youth has to offer the world, and the changes they envision for the future. Change is just around the corner and you can be part of it too! Find out how to get involved here.
